Hi, my name is Bryan Hugh founder of Tuckerman Outfitters LLC. When we started this business, we saw it as a chance to share our love of nature with other outdoor enthusiasts like you. We’re passionate about adventurous living, and we hope you are too.
We live in New Hampshire where Tuckerman’s Ravine, that legendary hiking destination on Mount Washington, is practically in our backyard. So the name Tuckerman Outfitters was a natural.
Choosing the products for our online store, however, was a bit more challenging. We wanted to stock our store responsibly. Every product has to meet certain criteria for quality. Durability and functionality are critical.
We wanted to offer gear for all different levels of outdoor adventurers. Whether you’re a novice, weekend warrior or extreme athlete, we have the right equipment and clothing for you. Price is another big consideration. We believe you shouldn’t have to spend a lot to experience nature. We want to make enjoying outdoor pursuits affordable for everyone. So we’ve selected products that offer the best value.
For the same reason, we made the decision to have an online store versus a brick-and-mortar establishment. By operating as a virtual retailer, we keep our overhead low and pass those savings along to you. We’re also able to stock more products. In fact, at last count we had over 7,000 of items!
Finally, it was important to us to have our store be green. We seek out products that are environmentally safe and are made by socially responsible manufacturers. Additionally, we ship from two warehouses, one on the east coast and one on the west coast. We choose the most direct route to your location to minimize our carbon footprint as well as to offer you faster shipping times.
In short, Tuckerman Outfitters isn’t just our business; it’s personal. We care about the outdoors, and we care about you. That’s reflected in the products we offer and the level of service we provide. We love helping others to enjoy nature’s gifts just as we do. So get outside. Get moving. And get your gear here!
